About the Apprenticeship
Ekurhuleni West TVET College (EWC), in collaboration with MERSETA, is offering apprenticeship opportunities to students who have studied at EWC. This is an exclusive opportunity designed to provide structured technical and workplace training that leads to national artisan qualifications.
Due Date: 30 June 2025
Placement: Ekurhuleni West TVET College Corporate Centre, Driehoek, Germiston
NB: Only EWC students are eligible to apply.
Available Apprenticeship Programmes
Programme Number of Students Duration
Electrician 30 3 years
Fitter and Turner 30 3 years
Mechatronics Technician 30 4.5 years
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have completed one of the following relevant qualifications:
- Electrical Infrastructure Construction NC(V) Level 4
- Electrical Engineering N6
- Engineering and Related Design NC(V) Level 4 (Fitting and Turning)
- Mechanical Engineering N6
- Mechatronics NC(V) Level 4

- Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Original certified copies of your qualifications (not older than 3 months)
- Original certified copy of your ID (not older than 3 months)
