  • Communication and Media Intern

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric;
  • Diploma/Degree in Communications/Public Relations/BA majoring in Communication Science;
  • Essential communications and analytics tools: PowerPoint, Word, Excel.

Post Description

  • Support implementation of media and communications strategy and policies;
  • Develop press releases, media briefs & packs, talking points and speeches;
  • Support the execution of communications plan;
  • Develop content for periodic newsletter, press releases and articles/opinion pieces as required;
  • Support in strengthening EWC TVET communications focal points;
  • Evaluate the success rate of every communication plan through social media analytics;
  • Creating content (written, visual, audio/video);
  • Managing social media platforms;
  • Building relationships with stakeholders and audiences;
  • Analysing communication effectiveness;
  • Coordinating events, campaigns and projects;
  • Conducting research and providing insights.

Educational Requirements

  • Matric Certificate;
  • Code 10 Drivers Licence and;
  • Valid Public Driving Permit.

Minimum Requirements

  • A minimum of zero to two (0 – 2) year’s experience;
  • Computer literacy will be an added advantage;
  • Good communication skills and human relations;
  • Reading and writing;
  • Fixing / changing flat tyres.

Duties

  • Responsible for providing a safe and reliable driving service;
  • Writing of fuel consumables;
  • Writing of kilometers services;
  • Transporting students, staff and documents to various authorised destinations;
  • Transport all college documentation, mail, assets, equipment and persons as required;
  • Assist with the corporate centre vehicle fleet, e.g. deliver and collect vehicles for services;
  • Completion of log book of the motor vehicle;
  • Procedure for motor maintenance of motor vehicle.

Candidates Are Required To Submit The Following Documents:

  • Knowledge of Computer will be an added advantage.

Post Description

  • Upkeep and consolidation of the assets register;
  • Verification of assets at Corporate Centre;
  • Capture movement of assets of Ekurhuleni West TVET College;
  • Capture newly bought assets on asset register;
  • Prepare write-off list or lost assets;
  • Marking of assets at Corporate Centre;
  • Respective administrative and office functions;
  • Reconciliation of Assets.
